Iron Oxide is a line of artisan jewelry designed and manufactured in our studio in Portland, Oregon. Attention and care is imbued in each piece, as every piece is constructed by hand. Our production partners include a local caster who creates our components from recycled brass and silver.
Amy Fox began Iron Oxide Designs in 2009. After growing up in the high desert of western Colorado she moved to Oregon to pursue a B.F.A. in photography then branched out into jewelry, graduating from the American Jewelers' Institute in 2013. Her work is influenced by the natural landscapes of the desert, forest, ocean and moon.
Amy lives in Portland, OR with her faithful cat and menagerie of houseplants. She is a co-owner of Altar PDX where you can find Iron Oxide jewelry alongside hundreds of other independently made products.
